Taufu Khang....!! |
Next came the Deep Fried Tilapia with Petai Onions. This time around Princess Lena whom was seated next to me left no prisoners. Not for Chubby boy at least. Poor fish was ravaged before it could say hello to the Manta whom was seated 4 seats away. Grumpy could only watch. This was his Princess at work. I tried kicking Princess under the table. No chance... Never stand the way of a starving Princess with a petai fetish.
Claypot Tilapia Steamed with Rice Wine came next. Bulldozer heaved a huge sigh of relief. Finally, a dish that has a chance of arriving at his seat intact. Dot managed to nibble a bite before it left. Well, better than none i suppose. Pushy was still distracted by the empty plate that once held the noodle. Princess was beginning to have a glazed look over her eyes. Petai works wonders. Grumpy was... well, grumpy. What you expect?
Paku Vege Cooked in Curry Sauce served. Yummy... Not quite the usual way of doing it in Sambal Belacan but tasty just as well... Bulldozer started grinning like an old goat. Manta was still trying to communicate with the fellow marine life soaked in wine.
Last vege served was some leafy thing. This i have no idea the name. It looks like something i used to feed to the ducks. This was hot soaked and served plain. The old goat was caught speechless. KY Jelly jumped in for it as well. This must be a special dish served for those 50 and above. Got me confused for awhile.
Next came the Steamed Malai Kai. Which translate to Steamed Skinny Shrunk Bulimic Jaundice Free Range Chicken. Say what you want. That's how it looked like to me. I offered it to Pushy. Pushy threw a smile at Grumpy. Grumpy waves his fork this time. Pushy continues to eat. This fellow eats anything you throw at him. Quite convenient if you really think about it actually. Its like having a mobile food dispenser. Grumpy was still trying to distract him with more name calling. Failed miserably. KY Jelly blinked for the n time. Bulldozer shifted in his seat.
Manta finally got over the demise of his fellow marine life. Raised his hands and demanded for proper food which is less complicated and properly rationed so the old folks has some fighting chance. Taufu Khang was requested and served. The Poodle yelped in agreement. Pushy smiled again. KY blinked again.
I must say. The tofu was an excellent idea. The tofu was cooked just nice. For once, the seniors didn't have to chew that hard. Grumpy even stopped harassing Pushy for the entire 3 minutes to enjoy his tofu. That is how good and soft the tofu was. Not much effort required to chew and swallow. We are a caring society after all.
Our only regret for the day was not having the 5 guest riders join us for the feeding session. The last 2 riders that rode all the way left at the trail end. No chance for us to invite them to come share the food bill. Pity. Could have ended up paying RM4 less per pax...
The other 3 left much early. They bailed out at the cow farm. One of their rider was having problems with one of his crank. The left leg i believe... It was twitching like road kill. I do hope that the problematic crank gets sorted out and we get to see them again in the trails.
That's another way to skin a rabbit. |
