Alam Budiman Ride 23rd Sept 2012.

   This weekend it will be Alam Budiman Shah Alam ride. They Shah Alam boys will be playing host. This trail is part of the famous Altantuya murder site. The trail will also pass by a water dam. Many is unaware the existence of this dam which supplies the water to Subang and Meru. Sneak a peek at it if you can. It is really beautiful with plenty of lotus flowers floating in it.
   A pretty open and exposed trail. It's best to come with plenty of water. The final push up to Bukit Ramlee is a real pain in the ass. Pain meaning the group gets full view of who is walking up. Usually the riders will be squatting at the peak with tiny stones in their hands. Hikers gets stones thrown at their feet as offering to the wimpycyclinggod. Bukit Ramlee going down is part of the downhill race track. The brave and silly is welcomed to ride the trail. Riders will also be waiting at the bottom with stones and bandages.

Brief information of the trail:
   Greenhill, Altantuya & Bukit Ramlee (Kg Bukit Cerakah)
   A combination of tarmac, fireroads, single trail, plantations & secondary forest. Approx Distance: 30km +-

Direction to the Rendezvous Point from NKVE: (Exit Shah Alam Toll)
2km - Take slip road left for E35 Lebuhraya Koridor Guthrie toward Bkt. Jelutong.
0.5km - At exit 3506, take slip road left toward Batu Arang / Kg. Subang.
0.5km - Turn right onto Persiaran Gerbang Utama, and then immediately turn left onto Jalan Sungai Buloh.
1.3km - Turn left onto Jalan Batu Arang.
6km - Arrive at Alam Budiman, Shah Alam

IMPORTANT:
Keep sufficient H2O, light snacks for the ride and some loose change. Personal safety gears are not to be compromised.
